Dave Arneson, Co-Creator of Dungeons and Dragons Passes Away

Dave ArnesonDave Arneson, co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons, passed away on April 8th at the age of 61. Working with Gary Gygax, who passed away in march of last year, Arneson helped create the modern role playing game by adapting the miniatures combat rules Chainmail so that players could take on the roles of individual adventurers.

Although not as well credited as Gary Gygax, Dave Arneson’s contribution to the world of gaming should not be underestimated.

Mr. Arneson passed away at his home in St. Paul, Minnesota, surrounded by his family. He shall be missed.
