Dave Arneson’s Collection to be Auctioned

When Dave Arneson, co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons, passed away in 2009, he left a very large game collection to his heirs. The collection not only included games, but original game designs by Arneson.

The collection was apparently so large, that his heirs were not able to manage it. The entire collection ended up in a storage facility.  Just like an episode of Storage Wars, when the bill for the storage went unpaid, the collection was auctioned off to a local salvage company. The salvage company contacted a local game store and they contacted “The Collector’s Trove”.

“The Collector’s Trove” is a company that specializes in auctioning RPG’s and game designer’s original work. They’ll be going through the collection and putting lots of it up on Ebay.

You can read the complete story on The Collector’s Trove’s website.
