Jungle Speed is an easy and fun party game made mostly for kids. Each player turns over the top card from his or her own stack. If any two of the cards match, the matching players must try to grab a wooden totem in the center of the table. Whoever grabs the totem first gives the loser his discard pile. The first person to get rid of all their cards wins.
Just grabbing for the stick is fun by itself, but a group of students had the brilliant idea of putting the stick in an entirely different room!
