Wizards of the Coast Drops Star Wars License
Blaming the economic downturn, Wizards of the Coast Director of Marketing Greg Yahn announced that the company would not be renewing its Star Wars license. The license will expire this summer.
From the article on ICv2:
Releases will continue as planned until the end of the license, according to the announcement. In April, Masters of the Force minis will be released, including favorite characters along with rare creatures from the Dejarik Holochess game that have never appeared in the Star Wars CMG.
The Unknown Regions RPG is also planned for April, including entirely new planets and mini-adventures for each world.

Dave Arneson, Co-Creator of Dungeons and Dragons Passes Away
Dave Arneson, co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons, passed away on April 8th at the age of 61. Working with Gary Gygax, who passed away in march of last year, Arneson helped create the modern role playing game by adapting the miniatures combat rules Chainmail so that players could take on the roles of individual adventurers.
Although not as well credited as Gary Gygax, Dave Arneson’s contribution to the world of gaming should not be underestimated.
Mr. Arneson passed away at his home in St. Paul, Minnesota, surrounded by his family. He shall be missed.
