GET A FREE T-SHIRT

We’re giving away free shirts with our logo on the front and a few kind words about our staff on the back. Just recommend the shop to three new customers and we’ll give you a shirt!

Here’s the fine print:

  • You must have a member card for the shop. Being a member gets you free drinks and other cool stuff.
  • When you bring a new customer to the shop, they also must get a member card and buy something (after all, we’re trying to make a buck, here.)
  • If the person you told is going to come in by themselves, just remind them to mention your name. We’ll take care of the rest.

Even after you get your shirt, keep recommending people. We’ll keep track of the number of referrals you make. Who knows, there might be more prizes in the future.

Magic Pre-Release Core 2011

On Saturday, July 10th, the Haunted Game Cafe will be doing a pre-release event for the new Magic the Gathering Core 2011 set.

This will take the place of our regular Saturday event. It will be a sealed tournament of six booster packs using only the new Magic 2011. The cost of this event will be $25.55 (including tax). The prize pool consists of two packs of boosters for each entrant, so eight players would be 16 packs to be given to the top finishers.

The event will begin at 1PM on Saturday, July 10th.

Free RPG Day

Come into the store on Saturday, June 19th for Free RPG Day. We’ll be giving away adventures, supplements, dice and a lot more.

Change to Magic Schedule

Due to popular demand, our regular Magic the Gathering schedule is being reworked. Starting in June, we will be doing Booster Drafts for our Saturday Limited Event. Only the last Saturday of the Month will be Sealed Deck. So the month of June looks like this:

  • June 5th – Draft
  • June 12th – Draft
  • June 19th – Draft
  • June 26th -  Sealed

SIGN UP for D&D Encounters Season 2


The first season of Dungeons & Dragons Encounters: Undermountain, has been a smashing success. New players have been introduced to the game and lapsed players have rediscovered the fun and excitement of their weekly Dungeons & Dragons group.

Season 2, Dark Sun: Fury of the Wastewalker begins on June 9th. We’ll have three (or possibly four) groups running this time, but don’t let that prevent you from signing up as soon as possible.

The first 8 people to sign up receive a special prize!

Season 2 will run for 15 weeks, every Wednesday evening. The setting will be the classic Dark Sun, revised for 4th Edition rules. Only pregenerated characters will be used, so you won’t be able to bring your own.

Magic the Gathering – Bring a Friend

Starting with this Saturday’s Magic Event, we’ll be running a special program to support the game and the people that play it. If you bring a friend to play in the event who’s never played at The Haunted Game Cafe before, we’ll pay the contribution to the prize pool for you. You’ll still have to buy the booster packs, but your admission to the event is Free!

Magic is a great game, but it can be pretty intimidating to play in an event for the first time. We’re committed to making events fun and friendly to attend.
